Mini Haul & Hair Dye

First of all ... these were my OOTD's for the weekend (sunday & monday)

My eyes looked fantastic both days! WOW!

So whilst shopping for my Work Christmas party dress I also picked up a few other things.

Some jewellery from Primark.

The COOLEST backpack EVER!

Some conditioner, nail varnishes. Sleek khol eyeliner in #Chocolate brown and blush in #Saharah.
Aswell as Crazy Colour semi perm hair dye in the colour Pinkissimo!

Also, went to the new Chinese supermarket which just opened!
Spent like £20.00 there! OOPS!

I dyed my shaved hair pink, which was nifty!
I did try dye my hair blue with Directions Lagoon Blue hair dye but it didn't even take to my hair when i tried, so I bought a new colour called Crazy Colour!
It was amazing!
I used a highlight brush to apply it cos I didn't want to stain my head!

AND ...
this is the result!
Keeping in mind that this has had a wash twice already!

I was thinking about just using the entire bottle of dye and colouring my entire head, but I'm actually pretty happy with the maroonish colour my hair is at the moment. Might get an orange red colour to dye it once I have severe roots, but for the moment, I'm happy with this dark, dullish maroon/red

So yeah, thats it for this haul/dye post.

Work Christmas Party Blues!

Its that Christmassy time of the year and ... dum dum duuuuummmmm.... Christmas work do!

I wasn't going to mine originally as someone NEEDS to do the night shift at work, but they changed the shifts around so that someone else who wanted to do it could do so.
Which meant that I had to go out and buy a dress and nice shoes!
Which was a massive task in itself!

My first few ideas for dresses were from Asos, Yours Clothing, and Very.

Asos Curve
Yours Clothing
Very

But the delivery times were all a bit long and the dresses were a bit pricey to be honest!
Plus, with the delivery, then making sure they fitted and looked good on me... was going to be a long process and I don't have that kinda time!

So, yesterday I went shopping alone for the first time since Richard and I have been together!

I went to Primark first, but as always they didn't really provide for my ample body!
But I did get a few things there for the evening, such as jewellery and a clutch.
And a few other bits and bobs!

Then went to Evans to look for a dress and shoes but the store seemed to be stuck in like "old frumpy lady" style :/ and the shoes were just rank!

So I went to Dorothy Perkins.

I tried on 3 dresses.
I tried this one on first but it was WAY too small for me! I put it on not realising that it was a 16 on a 22 hanger! DUH!!!

This one was OK, but very fitting on my stomach, which I could have stretched out to fit, but I didn't fancy the effort.

And then ... I fell in love!
This looks 10 times better on than it looks in this picture!

And it was only £22.00 plus, everything was buy one get one half price, so I bought a nice thin black belt with gold detail which was £5.00 originally, £2.50 on special.

So that's the dress sorted, now onto shoes!!!!
DREADED shoes!
I knew I wanted to get heels, even if it was only small kitten heels.
I went to a few shoe shops but eventually went back to Deichmann Shoes.
I had tried on a pair of Red , I think maybe a 2 inch heels.

They're just plain closed round toed heels, and I WAS going to get them until I spotted these adorable ankle boots/shoes!

They were only £17.99 ... and they're super comfy too which is a BONUS!

So yeah... I'm pretty happy with my purchases! And to be honest, a little bit proud actually =D

Everything is hanging up and ready for wearing on 10 December.
The dress is pretty thick itself, so I didn't want to wear a cardigan with it, but I'm thinking of taking a pashmina with and just draping it over my shoulders in case it gets cold.
I don't plan on staying round long, it's not really for partners so Richard isn't coming.
Plus, I'm working at 6am the next morning so I'm gonna want to be in bed by at least 10pm!

So that's it for my nightmare turned awesome shopping experience!

Beauty Boxes

I JUST PURCHASED MY FIRST BEAUTY BOX(ES) ... eeeeeeh!

Ok, ok I'll calm down!

After randomly seeing someone's review on a Glossy Box, I was intrigued!
So I searched for beauty box subscriptions on youtube, and found quite a few.

I am aware of the Boudoir Prive boxes, however when I went to pay for it, it wouldn't allow me to do it, no matter how many times I tried, so... I'm not going to invest in one.

The general idea is thatyou pay a monthly subscription, ranging from £9.95 to £12.95

Feel Unique Beauty Box - £9.95 (including p&p)
Carmine Beauty Box - £12.95 (including p&p)
Glossy Box - £12.95 (including p&p)

Carmine Box

Glossy Box

Feel Unique Beauty Box

I feel like i'm going to be more impressed with the Feel Unique box as most of the reviews I've seen on youtube seem to favour the Feel unique box, then the Carmine box, then Glossy Box.
But, i'm all for new experiences and I'm not gonna make my mind up before i recieve them.

One thing I found very good with both Carmine and Glossy boxes was the option to pay via Paypal.
So i could order them whilst I was at work, instead of trying to figure out my card number.

So, I've just ordered one of each! Carmine, Feel Unique and a Glossy box ... I'm really excited to get them all.
Oh my gosh! WOW!

Hopefully i can get a review them of all three soon!!

OOTD/Night - 22 November 2011

Second night shift, ready for my two days off now!

I decided to call this a mish mash "Ice Frost" inspired look. Due to the icy blues etc.

What I Wore:
Black long under-top.
Black and white striped bandeau dress.
Black leggings.
Cream brogue shoes.
Aqua chiffon top.
Black cardigan.
Blue Scarf.
Black knitted hat.

Rings all Primark.

AWESOME brogues i got from Primark for £1.00 because of that tiny stain on the front! SCORE!!
BUT... now i got a super bad blister on the back of my heal from wearing new shoes :/ MEH!

This ^^ is one of my oldest by best(est) cardigans! Its just a cheap F&F from Tesco, but its so comfy!
I like to wear it with h bottom button hole, buttoned into the middle button!
But its also good for the usual button up look!

Staying with the theme... light icy blues on my eyes, and an orange sheen on the lips.

"Infinity Loop" scarf.

So a few people asked about how I tie my scarf on posts where I'm wearing one.
Well today i tied it in the "Infinity Loop"

And rather than try t explain that, I did a video demonstrating it.

Wearing my lovely old grampa slippers at work since its cold!

(and my feet are sore)

Thats about it for now my lovelies!

OOTD - 20 November 2011

We went bowling today with a friend and her bf.
And then went to the arcade, then pub for many hours and many chats!

What I Wore:
Black long under-top.
Old animal print tunic.
Peach chiffon top.
Tan Cardigan.
Grey rose clasp belt.
Black Leggings.
Tan boots.
Animal print scarf.

I did brown and copper make up on the eyes, with blue eyeliner. And soft bronzed cheeks with nude lips.

ALSO... I bought this necklace off ebay fricking ages ago and never really wore it, but it looked good, and somewhat quirky with this so I thought I'd pull it out!

Also, Richard and I went shopping before hand.
I got some cute as fuck christmasy socks and knickers, also a shower puff with organza on the outside which makes it really hard and exfoliating! yay =D
PLUS, its animal print and just tacky!

That's it for the OOTD!
